Motivated by the desire to understand chaos in $S$-matrix of string theory, we study tree level scattering amplitudes involving highly excited strings. While for light strings have been a hallmark theory since its early days, has far less studied. Recent results on black hole chaos, combined with correspondence principle between holes and strings, suggest that rich structure. We review procedure which an is formed repeatedly photons off initial tachyon (the DDF formalism). compute amplitude one arbitrary any number tachyons bosonic theory. At high energies mass state these are determined saddle-point integration over positions vertex operators sphere (or upper half plane), thus yielding generalization "scattering equations". find compact expression decaying into two tachyons, properties generic string. erratic as function both precise angle relative polarization, sign chaos.
